Il personale si è dimostrato attento senza mai essere invadente, per un servizio davvero impeccabile. Ci è piaciuto molto l'ambiente intimo e accogliente di questo locale storico, gli arredamenti e le luci soffuse creano l'atmosfera perfetta. Consiglio vivamente, da ritornarci sicuramente."

"Non ho parole per descrivere l'esperienza culinaria che ho vissuto in questo gioiello retrò che è il regno indiscusso di sua maestà il tartufo umbro! Il tagliere di salumi e formaggi della tradizione locale è stato un vero e proprio trionfo della sapienza dei mastri salumieri umbri, i paccheri al sugo con melanzane hanno riportato alla mia memoria i sapori semplici della cucina di mia madre (li faceva spesso e per me era sempre una festa poterli mangiare), il petto di faraona ripieno con patate caldo e fragrante, mentre la millefoglie con crema chantilly e frutti di bosco ha chiuso in bellezza con un accordo che sa di autunno. E cosa dire della gentilezza, della spontaneità e del calore della signora Rafaella e del marito? Semplicemente ti fanno sentire come a casa. Tornerò molto volentieri qui appena mi capiterà di stare nei paraggi"

"The location is excellent—right next to San Gregorio Maggiore. The black truffle steak (made with fresh black truffles) is absolutely delicious. They serve the most thoughtfully prepared bread in the world before the meal. The desserts are also exceptional. The staff are very friendly."

"I was invited to go to Spoleto for a week's vacation away from work. Spoleto, although a small town, really has a beautifully romantic atmosphere. I was told to visit Il Tartufo as a great experience to try multiple truffle dishes. I was not disappointed! Each dish was amazing, with the highest quality foods and the tastiest of truffle. The hostess was very welcoming speaking not only in English but French as well. (To another couple). Not only that, but the restaurant had an amazing history which made it more attractive (I love my history – See pictures). To anyone who visits Spoleto, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be going back and bringing others!"
